Eligibility & Expectations
HCL Residential Living serves older adult male veterans and non-veterans seeking stable, independent housing during reentry.
Eligibility Criteria:
To maintain a safe and compatible shared residential environment, applicants must:
- Be approximately 60 years of age or older
- Be capable of independent daily living
- Have stable income or verified funding
- Not require on-site supervision or monitoring
- Not have violent offenses histories that would compromise shared residential safety
Residents must be able to:
- Live independently without personal care assistance
- Follow written house rules
- Maintain respectful behavior
- Participate in shared living
- Commit to long-term housing stability
House Expectations:
- No illegal substances
- No alcohol on the property
- No overnight guests
- Quiet hours enforced
- Respect for shared spaces
- Compliance with occupancy limits
- Adherence to lease terms and local laws
Failure to meet expectations may result in removal from the residence.
Important Clarification:
This is independent residential housing.
HCL Residential Living does not provide:
- Assisted living services
- Medical care
- Mental health treatment
- Substance abuse treatment
- Case management services
Residents must be capable of managing daily living activities and personal needs independently.
Referrals & Placement
Placements are typically made through:
- Veteran support organizations
- Case managers
- Reentry, parole, or probation agencies
All placements are subject to availability and program suitability
