Is this assisted living?
No. HCL Residential Living provides independent residential housing only.
We do not provide:
- Assisted living services
- Medical care
- Mental health treatment
- Substance abuse treatment
- Case management services
What level of independence is required?
Residents must be capable of managing daily living activities and personal needs independently.
Is this housing available to the general public?
No. HCL Residential Living serves a specific population of older adult male veterans transitioning through reentry and related programs.

What type of housing is provided?
Shared independent housing with written house expectations and structured guidelines.
Are substances allowed?
No. Alcohol, illegal substances, and misuse of medications are not permitted.
Are overnight guest allowed?
No. Overnight guests are not permitted.
Are there quiet hours?
Yes. Quiet hours are enforced to ensure a peaceful living environment for all residents.
How are shared spaces handled?
Residents are expected to maintain cleanliness and respect in all shared areas, including kitchens, bathrooms, and common spaces.
What happens if rules are not followed?
Failure to comply with house expectations may result in corrective action or removal from the residence.

What happens after a referral is submitted?
Once a referral or inquiry is received, our team reviews the information for eligibility, program fit, and current availability.
Will someone follow up?
If the referral appears appropriate, follow-up will be coordinated with the referring agency or contact listed on the form.
Is placement guaranteed?
No. Placement is not guaranteed and is based on eligibility, funding readiness, program suitability, and bed availability.
How long does the review process take?
Response times may vary depending on volume and availability. Submitting complete and accurate information helps avoid delays.
How is placement coordinated?
When approved, placement timing is coordinated directly with the referral source and resident to ensure a smooth transition.
Funding & Payment Requirement
HCL Residential Living is an independent housing program. All housing placements require a confirmed and verified funding source prior to move-in.
HCL Residential Living does not provide financial assistance, advance payments, or temporary placement while funding is pending. Accepted funding sources may include VA-approved housing support, reentry program funding, parole/probation assistance, or private pay.
Our goal is to provide a safe, respectful housing environment while working collaboratively with referral partners to support appropriate placements.
